What is a Hackathon?
▼
A hackathon is a collaborative event where participants come together to create innovative solutions to real-world problems through technology. It's an intensive 36-hour experience where you'll learn new skills, work with like-minded individuals, and build something amazing from scratch.
Where is the event and how long is it?
▼
The event will take place in the cafeteria of Conestoga Waterloo Campus. It is a 36-hour event, running from 9 PM on February 28th to 9 AM on March 2nd.
Who can participate? ▼
ConHacks 2025 is open to all current Conestoga College students. You must be an active student at the time of the event to participate.
What if I'm not a coder? ▼
No coding experience? No problem! ConHacks welcomes first-time hackers and beginners. This is a learning opportunity, and we'll have mentors available to help you throughout the event. Your unique perspective and creativity are valuable assets to any team.
Can I join virtually? ▼
No, ConHacks 2025 is an in-person only event. We believe the magic of hackathons happens when participants collaborate face-to-face and experience the energy of the event together.
What should I bring? ▼
Please bring your laptop, chargers, toiletries, and a sleeping kit (pillow, sleeping bag, or blanket). Don't forget any personal items you might need for a 36-hour event. We'll provide meals, snacks, and a comfortable hacking space.
How much does it cost? ▼
ConHacks is completely free to attend! We provide meals, snacks, swag, and everything you need for the event. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm.
What if I just graduated? ▼
Unfortunately, ConHacks is only open to current Conestoga College students. If you've already graduated, you won't be eligible to participate. However, we'd love to have you join us as a mentor or volunteer!
